Please kindly note that Gauteng Schools’ Water Polo (“GSWP”) will be holding its Age Group SQUAD Water Polo Trials early in 2023. The Trials will be held as follows:

The closing date for Registrations will be:

  • Tuesday, 2nd March 2023 for the U12 and U13 Boys; and
  • Tuesday, 9th March 2023 for the U12 and U13 Girls, and U14, U15, U16 and U19 Boys and Girls.

No late registrations will be accepted and no “walk-in” registrations will be accepted.

In order for us to plan, it is imperative that anyone wanting to participate in trials, is required to complete and submit the Trials Registration Form, by clicking on the below link:

GSWP 2023 Trials Registration

The Player Registration Form is required to be completed by all players attending this year’s GSWP Age Group Squad Trials and Training Sessions, with the intention of possibly representing GSWP in this year’s South African Schools Water Polo Tournament in December 2023.  

Payment of R300 per player is required to be paid in advance of the Squad Trials – the bank account details for Gauteng Schools Water Polo are as follows:

Kindly Note the Following:

  • Players must attend these Squad Trials to be selected for the GSWP Winter Training Programme. Players not participating in the GSWP Winter Training Programme will unfortunately not be eligible to represent GSWP at the 2023 SA Schools Inter-Provincial National Water Polo Tournament in December
  • NB* All players are to be at their respective Trials Venues half an hour prior to their trials (i.e. for registration/administration purposes)
  • NO GSWP Costumes or Swimming Caps are to be worn to the trials. School Costumes and Swimming Caps can however be worn
  • Players must attend their applicable age group trials (i.e., U11s and U12s to attend U12 Trials, and U17s and U18s to attend U19 Trials)
  • Neutral Selectors will be present at each Trials Venue
  • Parents/Players are free to distribute this notice onto anyone else they believe would be interested in attending the GSWP Squad Trials

Please can School MIC’s and GSWP 2022 Coaches and Managers forward this email to players from your school/club you feel may be interested to represent Gauteng Schools’ Water Polo at the SA Schools Inter-Provincial National Water Polo Tournament in December 2023.
